A recent workstation patch i.e. KB5041582 for Windows 10 22H2 was released on 29th August 2024. I was worried about hiked numbers as we prepare monthly metrics for previous month in 1st week of the current month. Also, I was wondering as in why VM solution is not flagging this patch as a solution, and, after researching a bit, I found this in highlights section "This update addresses non-security issues for your Windows operating system."

So yes, this was a non-security update, but always study a bit about new patches which are not part of "Patch Tuesday" as Microsoft does release OOB (Out-of-Band) updates to address critical vulnerabilities or issues.
